On our doorstep we have one of the biggest RSPB Bird Colonies on mainland UK. David Attenborough described it as ‘World Class’. It is only 3 miles away.
There are Boat Trips from our harbour to visit the Bird Colony or for sea fishing or Dolphin watching.
There is also Loch fishing 1 mile away. We have a private beat on the River Deveron with ghillie if required.
There are excellent walks all around our area with amazing panoramic views.
St Johns Church, dated 1004, sits on the hill of Mohr overlooking the bay.
The picturesque villages of Crovie and Pennan where they filmed ‘Local Hero’ are well worth a visit.
Our nearest towns are Macduff/Banff 10 minutes away. There you will find supermarkets, shops, banks and restaurants. We have a Marine Aquarium; Driving range; Golf courses; Banff Marina; Banff Link; Duff House; Swimming Pool – plenty to see and do.
We opened our site in July 2014 and it is situated next to our family run Net Manufacturing Business – Gamrie Bay Prawn Trawls (We don’t process prawns, we make nets!) . It is in a quiet location surrounded by working farms and hillsides. Adults, children and pets all welcome.
The pitches are all hard standing and are fully serviced with water, waste and 16amp electric hook ups. We have a chemical toilet waste disposal unit and a recycling point for household waste. We also have a ‘Motorhome Service’ point.
NO TOILETS OR SHOWERS.
We have a Dog Walk on site.
The whole area is fenced in and has easy access from the main road. There is a bus stop 10 minutes walk away.
We are an excellent base for visiting our beautiful villages of Gardenstown and Crovie just over 1.5 mile away.
In the village we have a lovely harbour which is the hub of the village in the summer time with locals & visitors alike. Our community harbour cafe ‘Harbucks’ is open during the summer months & is always a great attraction.
The village has a Spar Shop and The Wee Shop down on Main Street which has everyday essentials. Also on Main Street is the village Pub The Garden Arms.
Michael & Linda look forward to welcoming you to Gamrie Bay CL site.
